Its 2005!!!

Happy happy New Year! Kinda wet start to the year cos it has been raining non-stop.
Went to Indochine at Clarke Quay yesterday night for the countdown. I must just say that i really cant drink. I suck at alcohol.(sounds funny doesnt it?) But it was really fun and interesting. I think we were the youngest there.

See the Aquarius sign down on the right? Its JANUARY! Strangely, being an aquarius, im rather adverse to water. Especially in my younger days. I remember crying and asking my mum to get me out of the swimming lessons cos i was so afraid of drowning.

Sorry. Nowadays i seem to be writing alot bout the recent films i have watched. Maybe its just that i have loads more time to watch movies now as my ord date nears.

Nobody Knows (Dare Mo Shiranai) is a beautifully sad picture of 4 kids and their mother.

The mum is a woman who either cant stand being alone without a man, or is genuinely looking for someone who can look after her children. The kids are all fathered by different people whom she found on her on-going quest.

The 4 kids live a life of seclusion. Only the eldest boy, Akira, is allowed to be seen by the neighbours. The other three are left to hide in the small apartment that they have rent.

One day, the mum leaves them to follow a new love. And the kids' tragic journey to look for love and acceptance begins.

The boy in the picture, Yuuya Yagira, who plays Akira, won the best actor award in Cannes 2004. It was a heart-rending performance and the show is really really good. Please go watch it if you have the time. And bring ur love one along.

I just love this picture. Its soo soo beautiful.

Hello! And Merry Christmas!

It has been a wonderful christmas. Strangely, i must say that my wish has been fulfilled. I got my number 1 wish! Okay lah. Only partly. Cos i dreamt of it. Yah. Its actually only a dream but it was great anyway.

Its strange that after hoping for it to happen, i actually went to bed and experienced it in my dreams. I dont really remember dreaming it though. Its just that when i woke up, i felt as if it had happened and my heart was like at peace.

I dreamt of us, walking under the moonlight, along some streets. Us, just walking along. Not holding hands though. We were just enjoying each others companionship in the tranquil night when suddenly she said yes. And somehow i just knew that she had agreed for us to be together. My heart just heaved a huge sigh of relief. And i remember that i was just so happy that we both hugged. The thing is i even saw her face.

However, that day was terrible for me cos i knew it was all a dream. But it had felt so good then. Sigh... i kinda moaned for the entire day after that. Nothing seemed to be able to lift my spirits.

It was even worse when i read my horoscope yesterday and it said that i should not take my dreams seriously! Aaaargh... How did they even know i was dreaming something, if anything at all.

Anyway, my friend told me that my blog has sooo many pictures. So i have decided to clean it up for this week. Enjoy the emptiness. Just like how i feel.

Who Da Hustler?

Presenting...... Comic genius Mr Stephen Chow!

Watched Kung Fu Hustle yesterday. It was wonderfully funny. Thank god that Stephen Chow departed from his usual slapstick comedy. He really has arrived as the comic genius of Hong Kong, so much so that this film was heavily invested by western interest.

Since the surprise departure from his usual slapstick in his last movie, Shaolin Soccer, the world has indeed been waiting with some fervour for his new film. Stephen Chow has finally realised that you do not need to be acting funny every second to be noted. All you need are some artsy scenes, some tragic moments and the funny clips will be greater contrasted and better appreciated. I don't think i can heap any more praise to such a great film. But i must warn you that there are some rather graphic scenes in their till death do we fight attitude.

Visit Kung Fu Hustle at Sony Pictures for 4 inexplicably fun games. There's one fighting game ala Street Fighter where you go against the mooning barber, the fairy tailor and even the head of the Axe Gang. Another is kinda like King Kong as you jump over rats and dodge the Landladys flying flower pots as you try to finish chores. The third is really interesting where you fling axes and try to kill all the crazy axe gang members. The last is a puzzle bobble look alike as you try to placid adorable kids running towards you with different choices of ice cream. Enjoy!

Lets be serious
