Well, duh...
In life, we will meet up with a lot of stuff that are inexplicably simple and obvious. Written in bold and flashing right in our faces in font size 72, we somehow look past them and move on. However, there are times when we are forced to look back and admit that others are correct. Like the following:
Me: ( talking to my friend) U know, its really irritating when people send u numbers in their sms. U have to memorise them and try to type them correctly in ur phone. Why cant they just send business cards?
Friend: What? Cant u just use the function in ur phone to choose that number?
Me: What u talking about? What stupid function? I have used this phone for so freaking long and i know nothing of it.
Friend: There, just choose the "use number" function here. There. Isnt it done?
Me: ( brain working overtime to reduce embarassment) Oh! Hahaha... yah hor. This function. I thought what. Hahaha..
Sometimes, it is very unethical to try to force a guy to admit to his mistakes. As u know, guys are more competitive and more 要 面 子. Drastic reactions may occur if not dealt with appropriately.
Me: ( playing Magic the gathering with my friend) So what u want to do? Faster lah. Stop wasting my time. {Sometimes when ur deck is lousy, u have to belittle ur friend instead.}
Friend: Wait lah. Haha. U are dead.
Me: Dead ur head lah. Want to kill me then faster lah. Think u so good meh?
Friend: There. 25 damage. Hahaha. U die already.
Me: Sure or not.
{Taking my time to count and re-count. Just in case mah.} Haiya. Stupid game. Not fun one. Lets do something else.
But do u know whats the worst? Its when u are at a family gathering and they start sharing all the dark, embarassing secrets that u hope everyone has forgotten.
My Aunt: ...... yah, and he like crying in front of the whole school lor. ..... Wet his pants.... Hahahaha.... Yah. Have to drag him down... ahahaha....
My mum: Hahaha..... oh yah {Desperately eager to add her bit to the revolting pile} There was this time when we were at Pasir Ris park. Then nicholas decided to sit on this metal chain that hung between two posts. He was swinging on it and singing songs. So cute and funny. Then the chain just broke and he fell flat on his butt and started crying and crying...
Everyone else: Ha.. look at him, turning red already. Hahaha... so cute hahaha.
Me: {forcing a smile}
